Our Mission:

Developing faithful Disciples in the Church, in the Community and around the World

GOD

We believe that there is one divine creator of all things. That this supernatural being we call God, consists of three distinct parts: the Father, the Son (Jesus), and the Spirit, but they are all God. We understand that it is hard for our minds to grasp how this can be, but we believe the evidence is all around and has been since the very beginning.

  • The FATHER

We believe that God created us, much like a father, to have a relationship with us, not to control and manipulate us as some earthly fathers do, but to share with us, love us, and guide us in how to live.

  • The SON

We also trust that the historical Jesus was more than just a good man or teacher, that he really is the Son of God. As God’s son he came to this world to show us how to live and to provide us with a way to live with God, in relationship with him, forever.

  • The SPIRIT

We hold the belief that God provides those who follow him with a piece of himself, the Holy Spirit, that gives wisdom, guidance, courage, power, and help.

BROKEN

We believe that as our creator, God knows what’s best for his creation and that he has provided us with the guidance we need to live a life of fulfillment and purpose. However, we make choices to try to find fulfillment outside of what God has intended, and when we do so, when we make choices and do things that disobey what God wants and intends for us, we sin. We become broken. We become altered from what we were intended to be.

ANCIENT SCRIPTURES

The Bible is a collection of writings inspired by God that are given to us so we might discover his mind and will. These Ancient Scriptures are given to teach, guide, and direct us in understanding and living our fragile lives.

HOPE

Those that follow God use their abilities, talents, and resources to help all that are hurting and oppressed. We believe that followers of God are to be instruments of hope, help, healing, restoration, and purity in our broken world.

Restored with God.

Because of our sin, our brokenness, we are separated from our faultless Creator, but God sent his son, Jesus, to take our punishment upon himself, and through his death and resurrection he restored us and brought us back into right standing with God.

Belief and Following

If we choose to believe and accept that the Ancient Scriptures are true, believing and trusting in God and his desire for a relationship with us, then we become a follower of God. Someone that follows God, striving to live life his way, is usually referred to as a Christian because they are living as Jesus would in this world. To become a follower we need to call out to God and let him know that we want to follow him. In wanting to follow him we’ll turn away from our sin toward God (repentance) and participate in the sacred and significant practice of baptism. As we surrender our lives to him in this way, God’s Spirit comes to live inside of us, helping us to become all that we were created to be.

The RushChurch Family:

A story of God's amazing grace.

RushChurch's story is as unique as each of our own. The beautiful thing about RushChurch's story is that God's grace and love are so deeply woven into the fibers of who we are that any success or prosperity we've experienced is a direct result of God's favor. We believe that all things exist and are being worked according to the triune God’s passion, pleasure and plan (Ephesians 1:11), which is the demonstration of His own intrinsic glory. And that God creates, calls, rescues, redeems, saves, restores, restrains and grants all to the end that He might be praised.
