Ashlee Phillips - childrens minister

Ashlee is new to our staff and is so excited to start working with the kids here at RushChurch. She has had the privilege leading children using puppets, mime, skits and kids worship most of her life. Worship is a huge part of her families lives. Helping to lead others in the presence of God means so much to her. Most recently she has spent the last ten years showing kids the light and life in Jesus at Camp Wesley as the Director. It is truly her passion to see children come to the realization of who they are in Christ. Herself and her family were all born in sunny Florida. Ashlee and her husband met at church, he caught her watching him play the bass during worship. Long story short, they fell in love got married and had 3 kids, Hannah, Haylee & Carter. They both joined forces and traveled Florida putting on events with their creative arts ministry team. They created an event called the Family Christmas Extravaganza free to the community. Their first year they saw about 3000 participants. That event is still going strong in the hands they left it and now serves over 15000. God called them to Ohio in 2011 where they served as the youth leaders at Belle Center UMC. They started and cultivated the kids worship on Sundays and Wednesdays also. It is important to be the church outside of the walls. She is looking forward to building relationships within our church family and beyond the walls of our building.
