What kind of church are you?

We are an Independent Church of Christ/Christian Church.

Do you use instruments during worship?

Yes, we use our voices and instruments to bring glory to God in worship.

Are you part of a denomination?

No.  We are governed by our group of Elders, who prayerfully lead by the direction of the Holy Spirit.

Do I need to wear a suit or a dress?

No, absolutely not.  We believe what's in our hearts is most important.  At Rushchurch you will find a comfortable relaxed atmosphere conducive for worship.  Shorts are not uncommon (weather permitting, of course!)

Do you have communion every service?

Yes, we believe it is important to honor the Lord's supper.  Communion is a a voluntary process, there is no expectation of you during this time.  Different churches do this differently, we usually take the bread (cracker) and juice as it is passed.  You may spend this time as you desire in quiet reflection and take the bread and juice when YOU are ready.  This is a time in our service that we do not want to be intimidating to new folks.  A Leader will usually spend a few moments prior to passing the communion in a communion meditation thought.

Are there specific areas I can sit?

Anywhere! our folks are not territorial and are more interested in the comfort of our guests than a usual seating arrangement.   We offer a mothers room with a view of the service and speakers for times where you may need space with a baby.

Do you have something for my kids or a nursery?

We offer "Kid's Worship" during both hours (9:30 & 11:00 AM).  A time of fun, learning, and meeting new friends.   We also offer a staffed nursery and secure check-in services for your convenience. We also offer "Overflow" which is a time of learning and growing for students 7th-12th grade during the first hour. (9:30 AM)
